Laser Expertise first engaged with Nottingham College in April 2025 just 6 weeks after Parklands Capital purchased the company. From the outset Apprenticeships were very important to Laser Expertise, bringing young people into the manufacturing industry.
By August 2025 it had employed 3 Apprentices to work across all departments within the business. Guided by Jenni Walker of Nottingham College Laser Expertise was really impressed with a new set up at Ruddington Campus. Jenni and the team visit Laser Expertise on a regular basis to check in and ensure they were kept up to date with all the training requirements and the Senior Team at Laser Expertise attend Ruddington on a regular basis.
In April 2026, Jenni announced that Laser Expertise had been nominated for SME of the year 2026. On 7th May 2026, the senior team of Amanda Dove, Lee Liburd & Matt Barker attended the awards and were delighted to walk away with the trophy. On behalf of Laser Expertise, Lee accepted the award with pride.
Laser Expertise is already engaged with Nottingham College for 26/27.
