The move, which took effect from 25 June, will allow the company to further strengthen its portfolio of market-leading sealed CO2 lasers and new, cutting-edge femtosecond laser, as well as maintain the company’s growth which has gone from strength to strength in recent years. Continuing to operate from its purpose-built manufacturing facility in Kingston upon Hull, UK, Luxinar employs more than 180 people – both in the UK and overseas, with operations in China, South Korea, Germany, Italy and the USA.
Managing Director, Klaus Leitner, made the announcement at this year’s Laser World of Photonics exhibition, where a host of new products were also unveiled, reflecting the company’s commitment to ongoing innovation.
Commenting on the announcement, Klaus said: “This is a really exciting time for our company as we move into our next chapter, building on our proud heritage to drive further innovation in the laser industry as a proudly independent business.
“While our name has changed, the core of our business remains the same. Our products are some of the most technologically sophisticated in the world, and they exist because of the people at the heart of Luxinar. With that foundation, we are continuing to pioneer cutting-edge laser technology, helping our customers across the world to sharpen their competitive edge.”
Luxinar will be showcasing its far-reaching capabilities from 3 to 5 July at Laser Korea. Launching at the exhibition will be the SR 25i AOM, for a wide range of applications including multilayer thin film cutting and high resolution/high speed printing, and visitors will be able to learn about the LXR 100, a 100W femtosecond laser, and the OEM 100iX, a 1kW CO2 laser for high speed processing.
Alongside the unveiling of Luxinar’s new lasers, customers will see the company’s existing products, including the OEM 45iX, SR 10i and SR 15i. Luxinar’s team of experts will also be on hand throughout the exhibition to share their knowledge and provide expert advice on laser technology.
