3 December 2013 Power beam delivery and manipulation: achieving high flexibility and productivity with lasers
This workshop brings together industrial and academic experts from the UK, Europe and the USA to provide a series of talks on the current state of the art. The scope includes free space and fibre optic beam delivery, workstation integration and beam sharing considerations, robotic control of laser beams, high speed scanning for large area surface functionalisation and applications of integrated systems including laser cladding and hardening and remote decommissioning applications.
17 October 2013 Job Shop 2013: Annual UK Job Shop business meeting
Presentations and forum discussions, this year sponsored by Manufacturing Service Solutions (MSS) and II-VI UK. The annual business meeting dealing with topical subjects in the laser sub-contract sector. An opportunity to learn, to network and to discuss the major issues of the day.
24 September 2013 Role of lasers in composite manufacture and processing
The interest in composites has grown greatly over the past decade. Their unique properties (high strength to weight ratio, corrosion resistance etc.) offer increasingly important advantages in manufacturing; but they can present a major challenge to cutting, drilling and other forms of material processing.
12-13 March 2013 International Laser Applications Symposium 2013
The Industrial Laser Application Symposium (ILAS), is the UK's premier event in Laser Materials Processing (LMP). ILAS plays an important part in helping industry and academia stay abreast of developments and thereby maintain a competitive edge. It provides an ideal opportunity to learn, to pesent work, to meet others who share similar interests and generally to network with the wider laser materials processing community.
17 October 2013 Additive Manufacture Research Day at Birmingham University
For this FREE event AMPLab academic specialists together with researchers on the use of laser AM technologies will present their latest work. The day will be an opportunity for discussions exploring the use of AM and networking for future funding calls. A particular highlight will be the opportunity for the delegates to visit AMPLab AM facilities, including the SLM and DLF systems.
16-17 October 2013 High Power Diode Lasers & Systems
A FREE-OF-CHARGE ONE & A HALF DAY MEETING - join us for this free meeting to explore advances in key advances in diode lasers and diode pumped lasers. The meeting comprises a programme of invited speakers and a poster session of contributed papers.
3 October 2013 Lasers in Industrial Processing
Interested in lasers and how they can help you make better products or new materials? Do you have an idea about a novel application for lasers in production? Or do you have an idea for a new laser source that could be the next product? Then this event is for you.
1 October 2013 Funding Dissemination events: Laser for Industrial Processing
On 23 September the TSB is launching a call for feasibility studies entitled 'Lasers fo industrial processing'. To help promote the call, find collaborators and have the opportunity to ask direct questions to the TSB, AILU together with ESP KTN have organised four local half day events on the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 18th October.
25-26 September 2013 Macro|Nano|Mems 2013
This event has grown tob one of Europe's leading evens dedicated to Micro, Nano and MEMS manufacturing. Exhibits cover the full spectrum of technologies from laser micromaching through to micro injection moulding and from MEMS fabrication through to assembly, inpsection and test equipment.
18-21 March 2013 The 2013 International Laser Safety Conference (ILSC)
The 2013 International Laser Safety Conference (ILSC) is a comprehensive four-day conference covering all aspects of laser safety practice and hazard control. Scientific sessions will address developments in regulatory, mandatory and voluntary safety standards for laser products and for laser use. The Practical Applications Seminar (PAS) complements the Scientific sessions by exploring everyday scenarios that the LSO may encounter.
